Description
March 8, 2013. Developed for the Niel Gaiman/Blackberry "A Calendar of Tales" challenge. ~5hrs. Pen and ink sketch, scanned into Illustrator. I processed the linework using Live Trace (Comic Book setting). Color added using WACOM tablet and Illustrator's pen and pencil tools. The text in the sky was produced using custom pattern brushes applied to circles and arcs. The text is edited from Gaiman's own "July Tale".
