An illustration I did for The Game is Afoot smartphone game. This is based on an illustration by artist Sidney Paget for the original publication of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by A.C. Doyle.
Prismacolor grayscale markers. This took me a while, actually. I was new to the medium, and I'm not the most comfortable with figure drawing. After sending it out for review I received a tough critique. I decided to draw it from scratch a second time. This time a better critique, but still needed work. I didn't have a good strategy for fixing this kind of art in PhotoShop. After beating my head over it for a few hours, my Art Director gave me a suggestion to try a couple of unfamiliar PhotoShop brushes. After that, I managed to get his face squared away. Phew!
